Traveling to Israel is actually quite simple. Other than a longer security line at the airport (and a few questions about why you are visiting Israel or where you had your Bar Mitzvah 😉), make sure to get your ETA-IL Visa.
You will fly into Ben Gurion Airport (TLV).
Ben Gurion Airport is approx. 30 minutes from the beaches of Tel Aviv. Those beaches are approx. 25 minutes away from our wedding venue.
TIPS:
We recommend flying El Al for the most reliable flights.
Uber is not available in Israel. Instead, use GetTaxi
Do I need a VISA to enter Israel?
Yes!
Starting August 1, 2024, U.S. citizens must have an approved Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) or a visa to enter Israel for business or tourism purposes for stays up to 90 days.
An Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) application will cost 25 shekels (about $7) and will be valid for 2 years.

When should I apply for my ETA-IL visa?
The Population and Immigration Authority recommends that travel authorization applications be submitted at least 72 hours prior to any booking of flight tickets, hotel rooms and other similar expenses that are related your planned travel to Israel.
Are there any passport validity requirements?
No minimum requirement, but your authorized stay will not exceed the validity remaining on your passport and airlines may deny boarding if a traveler has fewer than six months validity on his or her passport.
What if I am a dual/Israeli citizen?
Israeli citizens or holders of an Israeli identity number do not need to apply for an ETA-IL
Are vaccinations required to enter Israel?
No.
